I am a textiles artist whose work sets out to communicate my personal mythologies relating to a sick and chaotic body. From surviving blood cancer and a stem cell transplant, my work explores the disruptive, uncontrollable, and mutational forces which exist inside all of us under the surface, and how these become embodied in the presence of disease.

By exploring form and texture through repetitive stitch; the process of creating starts to take on sculptural properties with self-referential features. Combined with uncanny material choices such as rubber, silicones and other translucent materials to represent the body, the work presents itself as a form of chaos which seeks to challenge our perceptions of what makes us truly human.
